In her new Flawless remix with Nicki Minaj Beyoncé references the elevator incident that saw her sister Solange Knowles attack Jay Z
Late last night 8/2/2014, rapper Nicki Minaj directed Twitter and Instagram followers to a website where fans could her a new remix of Beyonce's hit, "Flawless." Nicki Minaj, who has an album releasing this week, finished out the track.
Toward the end of the first verse, Beyonce seems to make a reference to the now-famous elevator incident involving her younger sister, Solange, and her husband, Jay Z.
"Of course sometimes shit goes down when there's a billion dollars on an elevator," she sings.
These lyrics refer to an incident that took place at the Standard Hotel in New York City as Beyoncé, Solange and Jay Z left a Met Gala after-party in May.
In surveillance video initially obtained by TMZ, Solange kicks her brother-in-law multiple times before being restrained by another person.
